Open Hands Initiative to release Comic Book Series with Disabled Superhero Protagonist

Former U.S. President Bill Clinton’s Open Hands Initiative committed, last month, to producing an original comic book story featuring a superhero with disabilities that extols American and Syrian values. The comic book will be released in the U.S. and Syria, and will eventually expand to address contemporary issues in other South Asian or the Middle Eastern countries.

  1. Cool, this sounds really interesting. I’m interesting to know what kind of disabilities the superhero in the comic will have. I’ll definitely keep an eye out for it because i love comics! Thanks for Sharing!

  2. To clarify, Open Hands Initiative is a non-profit organization founded and chaired by Mr. Jay T. Snyder. However, former President Clinton announced the Open Hands “Commitment to Action” on stage at the Clinton Global Initiative 2010 meeting. In the photo, former President Clinton presented the commitment with Mr. Jay T. Snyder and two participants from the Open Hands Initiative Youth Ability Summit, which took place in Syria earlier this year.
