Hazards faced by women in Congo who are giving birth

BBC reports on the challenges faced by women in Congo, especially when giving birth. In the article,  a doctor notes that the largest number of casualties in the conflict are among the civillians, not the fighters. Furthermore, it is stressed that women and children suffer the most.  It is urged that “reproductive health care must be seen as a frontline priority – not something to think about only after the fighting is over”.
