Film about family seeking asylum from FGM

An article from RHRealityCheck on the documentary “Mrs. Goundo’s Daughter” nicely summarizes the film and story. Mrs. Goundo is a Malian woman who sought asylum in the US to protect her infant daughter from FGM. The film explores the issue of FGM as it is debated in Malian society and by immigrants in the US, and follows Mrs. Goundo’s asylum case.
