How can we bring more men to the table?

This morning some DIPS (Division of International Protection Services) colleagues at UNHCR headquarters met with George Okoth-Obbo, the incredibly supportive Director of DIPS.  There was only one male in the room.  We first remarked on what a victory it was to have so many women on staff.  However, the meeting was on the topic of SGBV, which historically has been seen as a “women’s issue.”  How can we reach out to men, not just as partners in our work against SGBV, but to encourage men to  professionally specialize in  prevention of and response to SGBV (and in promoting gender equality)?
