Dear Colleagues:

It is my pleasure to share with you the 2009 Announcement and Part 1 Application for the inter-agency training course Coordination of Multi-Sectoral Response to Gender-Based Violence in Humanitarian Settings.
This is the third year for the course, which has to date trained and supported nearly 50 professionals working in the field of GBV (and representing a diverse mix of INGO, NGO, CBO, UN, government and  academic entities).  As with past years, the course will be held in beautiful and historical Ghent, Belgium during the first two weeks of November.  It is a residential course, and all participants will be expected to pay a registration fee in addition to their travel and related expenses.  The deadline for the first part of the application process is June 15, 2009. Late applications will not be considered.  Kindly refer to the attached announcement and application for further details.

All applications and any questions regarding the course should be directed to both Ms Alia Nankoe at UNFPA (nankoe@unfpa.org) and Ms Ellen Taets at ICRH/Ghent University (ellen.taets@ugent.be).
